How Irrational Can They Get?

The Israeli newspaper “Ha’aretz” reported today that Israel is in talks with Hamas, bartering POW’s.  The paper reports:

“The deal involves Hamas’ release of Shalit in exchange for Israel’s release of about 1,000 Palestinians held in Israeli jails, according to a senior Egyptian source quoted by the newspaper, Okaz.”

This is ridiculous.  Not only is it ridiculous, but it clearly shows the extent of the global bias against Israel.  How is it that Israel is expected to release THOUSANDS of Palestinians [who, let's not forget, are imprisoned for a reason] in exchange for one IDF soldier.  It seems as though Israel is planning on accepting the deal [somewhat to my disdain], but what would happen if they took a different course of action?

What if Israel did what nearly any/every major country would do- retaliate and attempt to rescue the POW by force?  95% of the world would condemn Israel; deem them oppressive and trigger-happy.  Why does Israel recieve such treatment from the international community?

Here’s why: it’s a number game.  Muslims are the most abundant people on the face of the earth.  This leads me to two possible conclusions: 1, They have no choice but to find them some living space before they bring themselves into other countries or 2, Backing the largest number of people in the world can be beneficial.  It’s not about humanity [and enough shit-talking the United States, they are more humane than any Muslim nation], its all politics.  How sympathetic is a country who will endlessly condemn Israel for “oppressing” Palestinians yet they won’t invite them into their own country.  In fact, they turn them down when they request entry.  This is bullshit, stop pretending to be sympathetic.

Give me ONE example of how this deal is fair!
